steinexpo 2023: We provide a home for your solution

Temporary home of mobile mineral processing solutions

August 2023: The processing of rock as well as mineral residues and secondary raw materials will mainly be displayed and demonstrated in the form of many specific, mobile units for crushing, classifying and sorting on exhibition area C at steinexpo, although visitors can also catch a glimpse of these machines at levels B and D. While individual units such as crushers, mills and screens as the centrepieces of stationary plants are restricted to the presentation, mobile plants and attachments can be seen in action during the demonstration exhibition. The corresponding demonstration times are coordinated to suit visitors. This turns the walk through the trade fair into a tour packed with knowledge. An excerpt of the offers listed per topic follows below.

Swiss hospitality with flexibility plus is on offer at the Gipo stand C46. The new, cost-efficient and track-mounted impact crusher with Gipo P131 Giga screening unit clearly dominates here. Developed for use in quarries, gravel pits, recycling sites and construction sites, the exhibit with its powerful diesel engine and robust impact crusher features tremendous performance and versatility. As with all Gipo plants, this innovation is also individually tailored to the operating requirements. The Swiss manufacturer is very flexible when it comes to special wishes, because in the end, application satisfaction is the be-all and end-all. The very robust and powerful P131 impact crusher, the large 1,500 x 5,500 mm two-deck screening machine and the proven air classifier system in the oversize material circuit and in the lower deck are decisive features for the control of a high-quality end product. Experts from the German sales representative Apex Fördertechnik will also be on site.

High economic efficiency, optimum operability and sustainability are the focus at the Kleemann stand C25. Embedded in the overall presentation of the Wirtgen Group, Kleemann will be presenting the Mobirex MR 130(i) Pro mobile impact crusher, the latest member of the Pro line family. Designed as a primary and secondary crusher, the plant combines current operator expectations in terms of performance, precision and sustainability. Thanks to its all-electric drive concept with the option of an external power supply, the plant guarantees low energy consumption per ton of final product. The crushing unit ensures high, stable throughput rates with its heavy rotor and 250 kW electric drive. The large optional double-deck secondary screen unit allows two graded final grain sizes in one pass. A continuous crusher load is guaranteed by the Continuous Feed System (CFS).

The Mobiscreen MSS 802(i) Evo screening plant for coarse elements on display is also new to the range. Designed to handle changing challenges in different areas of application, its clever plant design and flexible conversion options ensure optimum material flow in natural stone and recycling applications.

The Kleemann range is further represented by the Mobicat MC 120(i) Pro (jaw crusher), the Mobicone MCO 90(i) Evo2 mobile cone crusher and other accessories for high product qualities.

All plants feature the now well-known, popular, constantly expanded and innovative “Spective” operating concept with optimally coordinated components. In addition to the intuitive touch panel and various radio remote controls, the digital application “Spective Connect” in particular supports the growing digitisation. New in the Spective world is the “Smart Job Configurator”. This configuration tool assists operators in selecting the correct machine settings, facilitates the daily work routine and ensures high economic efficiency.

Specifically for quarry applications, Lutze Process Germany GmbH will be demonstrating the Lokotrack LT120 track-mounted primary crusher from Metso Outotec in action every hour at stand C32 in combination with the MDS M515 drum screen machine. As the flagship model of the MDS range, the M515 heavy-duty drum is suitable for, among other things, recovering rocks mixed with clay and other sticky materials. A Kompatto 5030 coarse screening plant completes the range of rock crushing and screening machines on offer.

Conveyor solutions such as the modular LMS wear protection system and the Luwirep smart repair solution complete the trade fair presentation. The sales partner is SHG Conveyor Control GmbH – a start-up that developed a unique conveyor belt monitoring system. Their RIP Prevent system combines intelligent and AI-based data analysis without the use of sensor elements in a conveyor belt to detect potential problems in time and prevent damage.

Versatility reigns at the company stand C2 of Kurz Aufbereitungsanlagen. The dealer from southern Germany for SBM MP, Keestrack, Arjes, Neuenhauser and Zemmler will be showing several machines in operation. The focus will be on the Jawmax 300 DD jaw crusher as well as the Remax 300 max and Remax 450 DD impact mills, new developments from SBM MP, with the Jawmax 300 DD being a world first. The transport-friendly 30 t model proves that the largest possible crusher with high performance and high intake is compatible with optimum dimensions. Soft-start automation makes the mobile plant interesting for rental as well. Fully automatic gap adjustment, overload protection, radio remote control, magnet and lowerable discharge conveyor are further qualities of the fully electrically driven plant. The DD stands for the newly developed double-deck secondary screen for three defined grain sizes in one pass. Oversize particles are crushed again by the return belt or discharged to the side by the discharge belt. The Jawmax 300 DD will demonstrate all this live in action.

The larger Remax 450 DD impact crusher will also be presented to the public for the first time. Equipped with a double-deck secondary screen, it enables the production of two final fractions and two other intermediate fractions. A large separate primary screen completes the equipment as well as a diesel-electric drive, height-adjustable magnets, soft-start and a mobile phone app.

The Keestrack K6 heavy-duty screening plant, which can be configured in a variety of ways, will demonstrate its capabilities several times a day. Other exhibits include an Arjes Impaktor 250evo2 twin-shaft crusher and two special screening plants from the manufacturers Zemmler and Neuenhauser.

For more than three decades now, the mineral processing specialists Jürgen Kölsch GmbH (south) and C. Christophel GmbH (north) have been working together successfully. On their joint exhibition stand C12, eight interesting machines testify to efficiency, productivity and profitability in mineral processing. Visitors will be interested in the Powerscreen Premiertrak 400X primary crusher, the Warrior 2100 screening plant, as well as the state-of-the-art Rubble Master RM120X impact crusher, two Telestack stockpile conveyors and the Portafill MR-5X heavy-duty screen. The MPB 20.55 GH track-mounted drum screen comes from the Polish manufacturer Pronar.

The well-known Powerscreen Premiertrak 400X primary crusher features maximum throughput and flexibility. Processing up to 400 t per hour, its sophisticated crushing kinematics ensure quality and quantity. The crushing gap is hydraulically adjustable between 50 and 150 mm. In combination with the Warrior 2100 coarse screening machine, the PT400X will demonstrate its capabilities live.

The Portafill MR-5X heavy-duty screen built a reputation as a high-performance heavy-duty screen for difficult screening materials in large quantities. Particularly practical is that the 2-in-1 oversize grain belt allows the mixing of oversize and medium grain fractions. If adhesive screening material need to be reliably separated, the track-mounted MPB 20.55GH drum screening plant from Pronar is a good option.

Rubble Master sets new standards with the RM120X. With the same size, the impact crusher is optionally available with hybrid or only with diesel direct drive. The hybrid version has an installed high-performance generator that can supply power to interlinked systems such as screening plants. Typical for the flagship of the RM series is the enormous capacity for universal crushing tasks of up to 350 t/h at only 35 t weight.

Other developments and a new innovative product will be announced by the Oppermann & Fuss team at stand C65. These include the probably most sophisticated Keestrack compact screening plant in the 18 t class, known as K3, or “Combo”, with a now revised design and interesting technical innovations. The compact, high-performance Keestrack R3 impact crusher, known for its easy handling and good throughput, is now shown with a double-deck secondary screen. A brand new addition to the range is the track-mounted Keestrack P3 twin-shaft shredder, which is celebrating its trade fair premiere. This powerful shredder shreds almost any material and, at 14.5 t, is easy to transport.

In addition, the Keestrack B3 jaw crusher, the S190 screening plant from McCloskey and the Rockmaster Tornado S5L – an air classifier with integrated pre-screening for material refinement, which saves the use of a separate screening plant for the prior removal of fine particles in everyday use – are three more proven plants to be experienced.

For those interested in mobile plants, the QJ341, the largest mobile jaw crusher in Sandvik's world-leading Q series according to the manufacturer, with its own stage V-Cat diesel engine, hydraulic drive and overbelt magnet is on view at stand C1. Designed for use in quarries and for highly demanding recycling tasks, the continuously improved mobile plant, which weighs just under 49 t, is ideally equipped for tough operating conditions. The single-toggle jaw crusher is certified to have a capacity of up to 400 t/h. To match the throughput, the feed hopper holds 9.4 m³ of material. Tough wear protection, fill level sensor, central lubrication, dust protection on the main discharge belt, water spraying and an extended fine-grain belt make this plant something truly special even in the standard version. A radio remote control for the crawler track makes it easy to move the machine on site. Integrated into the “My-Fleet Telematics System”, the plant also provides important and vital data.

Patented technology with an automatic overload mechanism is what the Austrian company Neuson Hydrotec is bringing to steinexpo with its ST01BB jaw crusher and the matching MRP40300 heavy-duty separator. The jaw crusher with its hydraulic overload protection can withstand enormous forces, making economical crushing possible even of problematic materials. Originally conceived as a missing link in slag processing, the manufacturer also wants to convince companies in the aggregate industry of the qualities of its still young development of the mobile processing plant combination. Depending on the feed material,  the track-mounted 50 t ST01BB plant can process up to 300 t of material per hour. A deflection mechanism diverts the load occurring in the jaw crusher in the event of extraneous materials into the frame and into the hydraulic cylinders located downstream of the articulated plate. This safeguarding via the hydraulic pressure cylinders makes the jaw crusher insensitive to extraneous materials even when the gap is set at minimum. The upwardly directed articulated plate creates a four-way movement in the crushing chamber. The crusher closes in the inlet area and pushes the material to be crushed into the crushing chamber, resulting in much better intake behaviour. In addition, the crusher closes in the discharge area and pushes the material to be crushed back upwards into the crushing chamber, resulting in effective secondary crushing. According to the manufacturer, it should be possible to produce a final grain size of 0/65 mm with 5% oversized grain in only one operating sequence.

The track-mounted separation plant MRP403000 (MRP for Metal Recovery Plant) was designed as a heavy-duty separator to allow the processing of problem materials with a high specific weight. The material is separated according to magnetic properties by means of magnetic separators above the discharge belts. The plant with a vibro feed and metering unit as well as a vibrating screen for separation into up to four grain fractions can be equipped with up to three magnetic separators.

If you want to get to know the combination machine, take a stroll from area C to D4 to get more details from the Neuson Hydrotec experts.
